1) Planning your writing – decide which of the 3 plans is the most appropiate for your text:

Plan A: introduction – reasons supporting the statement – further reasons supporting the statement – conclusion with my view

Plan B: introduction – reasons supporting the statement – reasons against the statement – conclusion with my view

Plan C:

paragraph 1: introduction to outline the problem, to give some background info, reasons why we should be interested

paragraph 2: a possible solution, then the benefits of this soultion, and some difficulties involved

paragraph 3: a second possible solution, then again the benefits and difficulties involved

paragraph 4: conclusion to state your opinion which solution you consider the best, summarising the reasons
